Conceived 2007, Rennie Harris Awe-inspiring Works (RHAW) is a dynamic youth organization driven by community outreach and education (i.e. lectures, workshops and classes) as well as mentorship. Inspiration for this youth driven company was inspired by the overwhelming interest from teens and young adults as they segued out of Harris' annual Illadelph Hip Hop Dance Festival to join his internationally renowned company Rennie Harris Puremovement. RHAW is forging new paths in an effort to empower young hip hop hopefuls as well as present hip hop dance enthusiasts in its "RHAW-est." form. Join us as Harris' RHAW as they take it back to basics.

My creative inspiration is derived from my ongoing drive to connect to the most organic humanitarian consciousness of all people. My intent is to take a closer look at the collective journey as a people through dance. I am continually awestruck at the creative potential of our young people therefore it is through my work that we journey through their successes, their perceived failures, their hopes, their challenges and celebrations so that audiences can hear (and I mean really hear) and understand their voice. I consider myself as simply a vessel so that they may stand strong and confident on a platform that houses their contributions toward our future. RHAW will carry on the legacy of the free and unabashed creative expression of hip hop dance. Proving that once again…we all have a right to be heard and ultimately to be loved without judgment…" -
